Why does a site fail the acquiring onboarding review? | MULENPAY

Usually it is the site rather than the paperwork: no refund terms, no catalogue description, prices invisible before checkout, or placeholder pages. The review looks at exactly what a buyer would see — and sends the application back when the deal is described unclearly.

Common reasons for rejection

  • No refund terms. No dedicated page with the process and deadlines, just a line in the footer.
  • Unclear what is sold. Generic wording instead of product and service descriptions.
  • Prices hidden until checkout. The total appears only after signing up or in a chat.
  • Placeholders. Pages saying "content coming soon" or empty menu sections.
  • Mismatched details. The company name on the site differs from the application.
  • No contacts. No way to reach the seller before or after the purchase.
  • A broken mobile version. Part of the review is done from a phone.

How to pass first time

  1. Fill in the site completely — before applying, not after.
  2. Put payment, delivery and refund terms on their own pages.
  3. Make sure the price is visible before checkout.
  4. Check the company name and details against the application.
  5. Open the site on a phone and walk the buyer's path end to end.

Why the bar is set there

Payment infrastructure is accountable for money reaching real sellers for real goods. The clearer the deal, the fewer disputes and chargebacks later — and the faster the review passes.
