What documents are needed to start accepting payments? | MULENPAY

You need company or sole trader details, proof that the site is yours, and the site itself with product descriptions, prices, payment and refund terms, contacts and seller information. The review looks not only at paperwork but at what the buyer actually sees.

What to prepare about the company

  • Legal entity or sole trader registration details.
  • Information about the business: what you sell, to whom, at what volume.
  • Bank details for payouts.
  • A contact person for onboarding.

For the self-employed the list is shorter: proof of status and details for settlements.

What gets checked on the site

This is where applications most often come back for rework.

  • Product or service descriptions. What exactly the customer buys, in what quantity, on what terms.
  • Prices. The final amount must be visible before checkout.
  • Payment and delivery terms. Timelines, methods, what happens after payment.
  • Refund terms. Process and deadlines — on their own page, not a single line in the footer.
  • Contacts and seller details. Who is selling and how to reach them.
  • Consent to personal data processing wherever customer data is collected.

Why the requirements look like this

Payment infrastructure is accountable for money going to real sellers for real goods. The clearer the deal is described, the fewer disputes and chargebacks follow — and the faster the review passes.

How to speed things up

  • Fill in the site before applying, not after.
  • Check the mobile version: part of the review is done from a phone.
  • Remove placeholders like "content coming soon".
  • Make sure the company name on the site matches the registration details.

Onboarding at MulenPay takes one business day when the site and documents are ready. Start from accepting payments; the terms are set out in the merchant agreement.
