A company has two routes: pay an issued invoice from its bank account, or pay by corporate card like any other buyer. The first is familiar to accounting, the second clears instantly and needs no waiting for a bank transfer.
Paying by invoice
- Fits large amounts: per-card operation limits do not apply here.
- Money takes longer — the transfer is processed by the buyer bank during business hours.
- The buyer needs an invoice and closing documents, so the details must be exact.
Paying by corporate card
- Goes through as an ordinary payment — instantly and with a status notification.
- Corporate cards are sometimes restricted by merchant category, so a decline is possible.
- The receipt and documents are generated automatically, as with any other payment.
How to take a corporate card payment through MulenPay
To a payment system a corporate card is an ordinary bank card, so no separate setup is needed: the payment goes through the same payment page, widget or link as a private buyer's. The employee enters the details on the MulenPay side and confirms with 3-D Secure; you see the payment in the dashboard, and the status arrives as a webhook. The single-operation limit is 300,000 roubles: split a larger order into several payments or offer an invoice. The dashboard export helps accounting match card payments to deliveries.
Example: a design studio sells a company a set of layouts for 48,000 roubles. The client's accounting asks for an invoice, but their manager needs the layouts today. The studio sends a payment link described as "Layout set, contract 17"; the manager pays by corporate card, and the studio hands over the files the same day. Accounting prepares the closing documents under the contract as usual.
What the seller should prepare
- A contract or a public offer with your details, so the buyer has grounds for the payment.
- A clear payment description: on the company's statement it should match the purpose in the documents.
- A refund procedure for legal entities — the site review looks at that too.
What a company itself needs for onboarding is on the company acquiring page; the tool for invoicing by link is covered on the payment link page.
