The status shows which stage an operation is at. Created means the payment has only been registered, Processing means confirmation is under way, Completed means the money is in, Hold means the amount is reserved pending your decision, while Cancelled and Error mean the operation did not happen.
What each status means
- Created. The payment is registered but the buyer has not completed checkout.
- Processing. Confirmation is under way at the buyer bank — an interim state.
- Completed. The payment went through and will be included in the next payout.
- Hold. Funds are reserved on the card but not captured: awaiting confirmation or release.
- Cancelled. The operation stopped before capture — nobody owes anything.
- Error. The payment failed: a bank decline, an expired session or a failure on one side.
When the money counts as received
- Only in the Completed state: other states do not guarantee arrival.
- Hold is not revenue: the amount can still go back to the buyer.
- Shipping on a Processing status is risky — confirmation may never arrive.
What to do when a payment is stuck in processing is covered separately.
