Three ways to accept payments
Shoppers have three main ways to pay online: via SBP (Fast Payment System), by QR code, or through a payment link. Each serves a different purpose — the key is choosing the one that fits your audience.
SBP (Fast Payment System)
Russia's national instant payment system. Customers pay directly from their bank app — instantly and with no fee for the buyer.
- Pros: instant settlement, low merchant fee, supported by all major banks
- Cons: requires a bank app with SBP support
- Best for: e-commerce, services, recurring payments
QR code
The customer scans a QR code with their phone camera and lands on a payment page. Works both online (on your website) and offline (at the counter, pickup point).
- Pros: fast, no entering details, works offline
- Cons: requires a smartphone with a camera
- Best for: retail, events, cafés and restaurants
Payment link
You generate a link in the dashboard and send it to the buyer — via messenger, email or SMS. The buyer clicks through and pays by card.
- Pros: no website needed, minimal setup, share with anyone
- Cons: doesn't scale for high volumes
- Best for: freelancers, consultants, one-off sales
What to choose?
If you sell through a website — enable card acquiring and SBP at the same time. For brick-and-mortar, add QR. And if you don't have a website — start with a payment link.
